Paris Hilton
Richard Sylvan Selzer also known as Mr. Blackwell passed away Sunday of complications from an intestinal infection, he was 86. Richard is survived by his partner of sixty years, Robert Spencer. The fashionistas out there will remember Mr. Blackwell as the voice of good taste, who’s list of the ten worst dressed each year was a scathing staple of Hollywood critique from the 1960’s to last year. America’s heiress seems to have a talent at everything from making millions of dollars just hosting parties at the hippest clubs around the world to mock-political campaigns that bring Paris tons of her second favorite thing, publicity.
Hilton seems to have what we all crave the most, the perfect balance of making truck loads of money doing things that are fun while grabbing the attention of the entire planet and her latest venture is no exception. Who wants to be “Paris Hilton’s New BFF” is the latest offering from the eldest Hilton daughter which kicked off on MTV September 30th. It must have been one busy episode because Paris was true to form:
Besides the antics of young women desperate to befriend a celebrity, “Paris Hilton’s New BFF” also features a new single from the heiress herself. The theme song is titled “My BFF” and debuted on Seacrest’s morning show as a single Tuesday morning. Of course if you can’t wait for the next episode to hear Paris’ single you can check it out here. Some highlights, that the show is sure to have? Plenty of perky blonds, backstabbing and probably even a little hair pulling in the quest to get a tiny bit closer to a permanent place in Paris’ exclusive entourage. Of course no show is perfect and even “Paris Hilton’s New BFF” is going to be missing a few things, like:
What? You mean to tell me there are things that complete fanatic adulation and a fat bank account can’t cure? Well there goes my oh-so-happy dreams of fame and fortune.
“Paris Hilton has no one to blame but herself after two of her Chihuahuas were eaten by coyotes earlier this week… Hilton didn’t even find the dogs’ bodies until the next day - long after they should have been fed and accounted for. Let’s hope she doesn’t try to replace them.” Oh my gods – that’s so sad! Of course, Hilton’s reps were very quick to deny that the hotel heiress had lost any of her beloved dogs: “They were at Paris’s house Wednesday in her recording studio, and all the dogs were playing and looked as healthy and happy as can be. Paris even had a doggie mansion built for them and it is very secured. ” Which sounds really promising, except I can’t help but wonder who “they” are and how they’d have known if all the dogs where actually in the studio at one time. After all Paris has 17 pups in the puppy palace in her Beverly Hills home and that’s a whole lot of wiggling barking dogs to keep track. Plus, the New York Daily News reminds us that:
And unfortunately for the heiress, there does seem to be plenty of evidence that her cute Chihuahua’s have escaped. One of Paris’ neighbors, Shelby Seagall told Page Six in June of last year that:

But the response when it finally came from the “Simple Life” star’s mother, Kathy Hilton, was coolly measured and totally lacking the drama we’ve come to love Paris for. Kathy’s response was good, yet it left Paris’ fans hungry for the final word from the blond heiress herself and now it’s finally here in the form of an video, produced by Chris Henchy of “Entourage,” and written by Adam McKay who brought us “Stepbrothers,” in which the oldest Hilton daughter lounges by a pool in a leopard print bikini and opens with the lines: “Hey America! I am Paris Hilton and I am a celebrity too. Only I am not from the olden days and I am not promising change like that other guy. I am just hot. But then that wrinkly white haired guy used me in his campaign ad, which I guess means I am running for President. So thanks for the endorsement white haired dude and I want Americans to know that I am like totally ready to lead….”

There’s already a contested rumor floating around today that Paris Hilton lost two of her sweet puppies in an unfortunate fashion last night:
America’s princess, Paris Hilton, was out with her Aunt Kyle Richards but her sweety, Benji Madden, wasn’t on her arm, Paris was all pouts. Always sweet and talkative, Claudia Jordan had a great time out at Coco de Ville. Tyrese Gibson was looking stylish. Henry even caught some great shots of David Beckham out with one of his sons.
Whether you love her or hate her, today almost everyone has to give Paris Hilton props. Simply because, there’s absolutely no one that can control spin the way Paris can. After Republican Presidential candidate, John McCain, released a campaign video comparing his opponent Barack Obama to certain celebrities like the Paris and Britney Spears, everyone held baited breath waiting for the Hilton family’s response, especially when it came to light that the Hilton’s had made serious contributions to the McCain campaign.
