RAQUEL WELCH - One of Hollywood’s legendary sex symbols made a rare appearance. She was all smiles, but wore sunglasses and a kind of beach hat…at night. She looked ready to have a relaxing time in the sun in Malibu. Off she went in her white Mercedes.

After making the first public appearance in months at his children’s cancer charity event, The Hole in the Wall Gang party. Defamer tells us that Oscar winning actor Paul Newman has been diagnosed with “terminal” lung cancer. The star is currently receiving outpatient care from New York’s Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center where he was diagnosed with the fatal disease, according to the Los Angeles Times.

A distinguished actor and quite the looker in his younger days, Newman is most fondly remembered for his role as Butch Cassidy in the 1969 classic “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” along side his long time friend Robert Redford though his voice acting in the movie “Cars,” strikes a cord with his younger fans. A former chain smoker, Newman retired from acting last year and was forced to give up directing a production of John Steinbeck’s “Of Mice And Men” because of ill health the Daily Mail reports. On March 16th after missing another party for his children’s charity the respected actor also sited ill health claiming he’d been “treated for athlete’s foot and hair loss.” But a source reported seeing Newman at an Upper East Side oncologist:

Emmy award winning director/actor Spike Lee levied some pretty heavy accusations during this years Cannes Film Festival towards two time Oscar winning director/actor Clint Eastwood. Basically, Lee claims Eastwood rewrote history with his last two World War II movies set in Iwo Jima, Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima, by not including any African American actors, Lee says:

“He did two films about Iwo Jima back to back and there was not one black soldier in both of those films… In his vision of Iwo Jima, Negro soldiers did not exist. Simple as that. I have a different version,”
