It’s Friday evening, which is the perfect time to release a celebrity-fronted music video to convince those undecided ticket buyers to opt for Hoodwinked Too, right? After the jump, watch an earnest Hayden Panettiere sing her heart out in a studio, intercut with footage from the animated sequel. Watch out, Vin!
Panettiere takes over vocal duties in the 3-D animated sequel from original Red Anne Hathaway, and sings the title track “I Can Do It Alone” on the official soundtrack. The synopsis, from the Weinstein Co.:
From the team that brought you HOODWINKED, the comedic portrayal of the fairy tale Red Riding Hood, comes the all-new animated family comedy HOODWINKED TOO! HOOD VS. EVIL in 3D. The sequel finds our heroine, Red (Hayden Panettiere), training with a mysterious covert group called the Sisters of the Hood. But Red is forced to cut her training short when she gets an urgent call from Nicky Flippers (David Ogden Stiers), who returns as head of the super-secret Happily Ever After Agency, aka the HEA. A wicked witch (Joan Cusack) has abducted two innocent children, Hansel (Bill Hader) and Gretel (Amy Poehler), and Nicky needs Red for the search-and-rescue mission. Of course, what is a sequel without guest stars from the original? Thankfully, Granny (Glenn Close) and the rest of the HOODWINKED gang—including the ever-clueless Wolf (Patrick Warburton) and his over-caffeinated little partner, Twitchy (Cory Edwards), join Red to solve the forest’s latest caper. Fracturing fairy tales and pop culture with good-natured glee, HOODWINKED TOO! HOOD vs. EVIL in 3D takes viewers on a rollicking rollercoaster ride combining edge-of-the-seat adventure with classic, zany cartoon antics. â¨â¨HOODWINKED TOO! HOOD VS. EVIL in 3D features the voices of Hayden Panettiere, Glenn Close, Joan Cusack,

Sure, Megatron’s the supreme villain of the Transformers universe, but in Transformers: Dark of the Moon his infamously cold, calculating fellow Decepticon Shockwave gets a turn in the spotlight. Starting with this newly-released character banner, in which Shockwave — often described as what Star Trek’s Spock might be like in evil alien robot form — poses while laying waste to an entire city block.
In addition to his Vulcan-like detachment, Shockwave is known for a few other characteristics within the Transformers universe, the first thing being that he’s the robot who turns into a gun. Not a car, not a semi-truck — a giant space gun.
Perhaps because of these traits, he was also named one of the 12 most ridiculous Transformers of all time, compared to the socially-awkward loser kid who you were always stuck with on the playground. (He also only has one eye. What a freakazoid.) Well, just see if those mean kids are still laughing at the end of Dark of the Moon!
(Click for character banners for Shockwave, Optimus Prime, and Bumblebee.)

Also in this Thursday edition of The Broadsheet: James Bond will return with the help of Sony… Bret Easton Ellis is not a fan of Glee… Bruce Campbell talks more Evil Dead… and more ahead.
· You know who has an exciting directorial career going for himself? George Clooney. The dapper Oscar winner will produce and possibly direct a new film about the 2008 Wall Street bailout. Based the Washington Post article “The $700 Billion Man”, the untitled film (though that seems like a great title) will tell the story of “TARP mastermind Neel Kashkari, a top official under then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson,” who ended up leaving Washington DC to live in isolation in Northern California. Director Clooney is currently finishing up The Ides of March in preparation for its October release. [Variety]
· Martinis for everyone at Sony — shaken, not stirred, of course. The studio officially struck a deal with MGM to co-finance and distribute the next two James Bond films. Bond 23 (working title) will hit theaters with Daniel Craig on Nov. 9, 2012. [Deadline]
· Writer Bret Easton Ellis just made a whole lot of ‘tween enemies. “I like the idea of Glee,” he wrote on Twitter, “but why is it that every time I watch an episode I feel like I’ve stepped into a puddle of HIV?” Ugh. [E!]
· Men in Black 3 keeps on casting, with Michael Stuhlbarg joining the ever-expanding roster of talent; Will Smith, Josh Brolin, Tommy Lee Jones, Alice Eve and Emma Thompson already co-star. Stuhlbarg takes a role originally circled by Sharlto Copley. [THR/Heat Vision]
· Andrew Adamson (Shrek, the first two Narnia films) will direct Hugh…

Open Post: Hosted By A Work Of Evil
We’ve already wept over many videos of despicable HATEFUL bitches murdering bottles of innocent sweet nectar, but it’s still not easy to watch. Just look at this crazy motherfucker sending dozens of booze bottles to their deaths at Rite-Buy Liquors in Nyack, New York on February 23rd. The booze hater, who was charged with the murder of Johnnie Walker and Jim Beam, told police that she was sick of waiting in line so she caused $1,600 worth of damage.
This video is so hurtful that you should really play that Sarah McClanahan “in the aaaaarms of an angel” song while watching it. And afterward, open up your booze cabinet and hug all of your friends. Tell them you love them and would never EVER do this to them.
