Cameron is attending a 3-D film forum at Tianjin Polytechnic University. His production services company Cameron Pace Group has set up a China-based division partnering with state-backed companies Tianjin North Film Group and Tianjin Hi-tech Holding Group in what he called a “huge” deal, Deadline reports.

The British actor has written the screenplay for the untitled film alongside Phil Johnston, who wrote the 2011 comedy Cedar Rapids, and may take a role if his schedule allows it. Paramount Pictures, which has a long-term arrangement with Baron Cohen, has bought the pitch for the new project, The Guardian reports via THR.

Meyers is in negotiations to board the cast of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, an adaptation of Cassandra Clare’s novel from Constantin Film and Unique Pictures. Lily Collins stars as a young woman who discovers she is the descendant of half-angel warriors called Shadow-hunters who are in an ancient battle to protect the world from demons, THR reports.

All of the characters in Albert Nobbs, a mild and mildly stirring adaptation of the George Moore short story, are dreamers. Employees in a mid-19th century Dublin inn, they dream of each other, chiefly, and the ways in which they might be set free. They deceive each other, as well, so that their dreams are often projected onto false fronts — of character, of obligation, and — in a couple of cases — of tightly bound breasts.
We know, of course, that breasts and more lurk behind the waistcoat of the title character, the hotel’s genteel footman, because he is played by Glenn Close. As Mr. Albert Nobbs, Close wears a discreetly waved cap of cropped ginger hair and the bright, blank expression of a small animal caught mid-nibble. Blanched of make-up, her Edwardian features — balustrade cheekbones, long, straight mouth, and even, almondine eyes — seem to have been pinched from clay. Mr. Nobbs, as his peers call him, is immaculately devoted to his duties, which include hauling baggage, silently conducting the evening’s dinner service, absorbing the indignities of the hotel guests (including a boor played by Jonathan Rhys Meyers), and knowing when to open his palm for that extra shilling. As run by a fatuous hen named Mrs. Baker (Pauline Collins), life at the inn is tightly controlled. Nobbs ends each day by adding his extra earnings to a secret stash he tucks under his bedroom’s floorboards.
It’s a vague kind of emancipation Nobbs dreams of: Though he marks his earnings scrupulously each night…

The Sun reports that STAINS’ bulging eyeball twin Jonathan Rhys Meyers was put in the hospital on Tuesday night after she allegedly tried to take his own life by swallowing a bunch of pills at his home in London. JRM’s rep hasn’t confirmed the sadness, but one of his neighbors tells The Sun that paramedics showed up to his home after someone called 999 (that’s 911 in British). They found JRM lying on his bathroom floor and at first he told them to go away, but they eventually got him into an ambulance and took him to the hospital.
JRM didn’t have any comment to The Sun when he was released from the hospital a few hours after he checked in. JRM has had battles with the booze bottle for some time and he completed his fifth trip to rehab earlier this month. I would say that JRM is still “battling his demons” but that phrase belongs in the coffin marked OVERUSED with “over the moon.” It makes everything worse. But you know what doesn’t make everything worse? This temporary antidote to sadness:
