Ben Affleck and his spokesman aren’texactly batting down a report that the Argo director’s name has been floated for the Massachusetts Senate seat that Sen. John Kerry will vacate if President Obama chooses him to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.
Boston CBS station WBZ reported has reported that Massachusetts Democrats are seriously considering wooing Affleck to run for the seat. Before you write this off as crazy, note that Affleck is a noted liberal who has demonstrated wide knowledge on a range of issues on multiple occasions (see his appearances on Real Time with Bill Maher and marvel). In fact, on Wednesday, Affleck testified at a House Armed Services Committee hearing about security issues in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. (He’s the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative and has spoken on the subject before. He’s picture above with Cindy McCain at the hearing.)
According to the Daily Caller, Affleck met with Kerry during his visit to Capitol Hill.
There’s also this to consider: Affleck’s publicist Shawn Sachs, who has worked with the actor for about five years, isn’t denying the report. When Movieline asked him to comment on the report, Sachs replied that he was with Affleck ”working on Congo efforts” and “That’s all we’re talking about today.”
Affleck said essentially the same thing when Politico caught up with him in Washington. “That’s not what I’m here to talk about….I’m here to talk about what role we can place in making the Eastern Congo a better place.”

Even though Taylor Swift has taken down every picture of Conor Kennedy from the stalker wall in her bedroom, she still closed on a $4.8 million house near the Kennedy Compound on Cape Cod, because she never knows when she’ll be in the mood to stalk his ass again. Effects guru Phil Tippett Tweeted the pic of the affectionate reference wolf used to create Twilight’s CG wolf pack today during a VFX Q&A session. Technically I’m not sure which smoldering, shirtless Quileute werewolf this fella was played by onscreen, but if Taylor Lautner was a wolf I’m pretty sure he’d look like this. (I’ll also admit it’s unclear whether or not this is a Christian the Lion-style wolfy kiss or the prelude to a grisly VFX research visit gone very wrong.)
Tippett Studios worked on the last four Twilight films, specializing in the wolf CG effects; for Breaking Dawn Part II they also created the scene in which Bella wrestles and devours a cougar. I’d like to see the reference photos they snapped for that.

The divorce between The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Adrienne Maloof and Paul Nassif is starting to get uglier than her plastic toddler penis nose. There’s a good reason for why Russell Crowe looks like Bill Murray slowly morphing into Rob Reiner. Russell’s salty, pepawfied ass is playing the title role in Darren Aronofsky’s Noah and they’re currently shooting on Long Island. On Saturday afternoon, Russell to a break from playing an animal hoarder and went kayaking in Huntington Bay, New York with his personal trainer. Russell is obviously better at throwing phones than navigating, because they got lost and had to paddle to the nearest shore when the sun went down. Then at around 10pm, the U.S. Coast Guard were making their rounds when they heard Russell cursing out the sea for being a dumb bitch before throwing a phone (he made out of sand) at it. The Coast Guard picked Russell, his friend and their kayaks up and saved the day. But Russell totally denied on Twitter that he was lost (uh huh):

On last night’s episode of The Real Housewives of NYC, all of those crazed horny bitches went to St. Barts to be crazy and horny on a different kind of island. During their trip, they all went to a restaurant owned by Sonja Morgan’s friend and met the owner’s piece, a French dude named Tomas (the piece next to LuMann).
