The $3.5 billion Pirates of the Caribbean franchise may see another mega-star reprise in its fifth installment, and it may not just be Johnny Depp. Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards may return to the franchise after an invitation from Depp.
Richards has bombarded the franchise in all four installments with his persona alone. Depp made no secret that the superstar musician inspired his flamboyant portrayal of Jack Sparrow since its launch back in 2003 with Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.
Richards took the cue and sailed into the role of Captain Teague in 2007 with Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and again in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011). Now with a fifth return the swashbuckling franchise, even Depp is apparently awaiting Richards’ final ayyy or nay, though he teased that the plank has been lowered for his return.
“I spoke to Johnny a couple of weeks ago and he said, ‘Are you up for another one?’ I can leave it at that because I know no more,” Richards told BBC 6 Music. “But I do have the costume! (It helps because) some kids who don’t know nothing (sic) about the Rolling Stones go, ‘There’s Johnny Depp’s dad! There’s Captain Teague, arrgh!”
Keith Richards and the rest of his Rolling Stones crew have hit the big screen more recently in Brett Morgen’s documentary Crossfire Hurricane, which had a premiere bash last month at the BFI London Film Festival and is currently making the fest rounds. The feature marks the bands’ 50 years together.

When it was rumored that Danielle Staub is coming back to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Andy Cohen said, “Look deep into my non-wandering eye. She is not coming back.” But InTouch Weekly is saying that Andy Cohen lied to our faces, because the Jafar of New Jersey is coming back next season. InTouch’s source says that Bravo asked her back and she’s trying to decide if she wants to be a full-time or part-time cast member.
“Bravo has offered Danielle a contract. Danielle is contemplating whether this will be full-time or part-time. She will be filming several episodes. The producers squeezed all the juice they could from the Giudices-versus-Gorgas story line and had to think of a fresh outlet for drama. Having her back on will ruffle a lot of feathers!”

Well now: Despite legendarily roasting all of Hollywood last year during his hosting gig at the Golden Globes (and the resulting grumblings among celebs and media alike) Ricky Gervais will be back to host the 69th Golden Globes Awards. See what the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had to say about the surprise confirmation, and the kind of jokes Gervais is already threatening to drop all over the telecast come January.
According to the HPFA website, Gervais is returning for his third hosting gig, following a meeting with HPFA president Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly last month to discuss the possibility. In a blog entry posted via the HPFA website, member John Hiscock confirmed the news with in a smattering of real talk of his own:
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association voted for the controversial British comedian’s return after meeting with NBC official Doug Vaughn.
While many welcome Gervais’s return, not everyone is happy with the decision because last year his blunt one-liners targeting big-name celebrities caused anger and resentment in some quarters. After the show Gervais dismissed the possibility of coming back for a third time, but he gradually warmed to the idea and last month met with HFPA President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly in Paris to discuss it. He said recently that the idea of going back behind the podium “is very tempting”.
Perhaps a more traditional press release would’ve sufficed, but anyways — letting the world know that Gervais’s return wasn’t unanimously agreed upon opens the door for some HPFA members to say “I told you so” come January 16, after Gervais unleashes his shtick upon the proceedings again.…

Simon Cowell returned to British TV on Britian’s Got Talent the other night after a long break, causing millions of genitals to finally come out of hibernation to worship at the hairy altar of his twin moobs. You know who doesn’t think this is sexy (don’t you dare raise your hand)? Simon’s buttons. Simon still won’t let his buttons fuck his buttonholes. They are so close and he continues to deny them. He won’t even let his button stick the tip in or brush against his button slits oh-so-gently. Sexually frustrated buttons are a real thing. But I’m sure they understand. If they fucked, we wouldn’t get eye fulls of Simon’s chest rug. The sexiness stops there, though….
The Daily Mail points out that Simon also debuted a new droopy eye. A source tells them that the reason why Simon looks like Ryan Seacrest miscalculated his aim is because of Botox. Duh. The source explained, “Simon had overdone things a little with the Botox and it soon showed up on camera – especially as we film in high definition, which is particularly unforgiving. During the break between shows, the producers were quick to change the lighting over the judging panel. Simon was not happy.”
It’s all fun and games until that extra shot of Botox makes your eye look like a Blobfish’s mouth after eating a fart. Who knew that Cheryl Cole had it in her to get revenge on Simon by switching his Botox vial with stingray semen. +1 for you, CC!
