It’s one thing to violate the laws of everything by spewing out the words “over the moon,” but it’s an even bigger crime when you stuff that overused phrase in the mouth of a woman who isn’t even here to knee you in the asshole for putting those words in her mouth. Marie Sutton, an evil heart hurter who looks like this, claims to be a close friend of the late Princess Diana, but they obviously weren’t that close if Marie is doing her like this. Marie tells Life & Style that if Princess Diana was alive today, the news that she’s going to be a grandma would’ve made her throw herself over the great big crater in the universe. As the earth rolled from Princess Diana spinning in her grave, Marie said this:
“The pregnancy is just such marvelous news and Diana would be over the moon, absolutely. I think she would have loved Kate – everyone seems to love her, she’s very easy-going and has a beautiful family. I think Diana would have blended in very well with the Middletons.”

Full Story »Mexican-American superstar Jenni Rivera died Sunday when her plane crashed en route to Mexico City, after the twin-engine Learjet she was a passenger on lost contact and went down near Monterrey, Mexico. Rivera, the chart-topping “diva de la banda,” was a judge on Mexico’s reality TV singing competition La Voz and was set to make her feature film debut in the hip-hop drama Filly Brown, a darling out of Sundance last year, opposite Lou Diamond Phillips and Edward James Olmos.
It was Olmos who urged Rivera to make the leap into acting, she revealed earlier this year while doing press rounds for Filly Brown. “Sometimes people have a bigger vision than you have yourself,” she told Celebs.com’s Elliot Kotek.
Rivera was tapped to play against type in Filly Brown, portraying the incarcerated mother of Gina Rodriguez’s aspiring rapper in a stripped-down role that ran counter to her glamorous public image, a la Mariah Carey in Precious.”When I go onstage and I do about 40 songs a night, each song I’m acting out as if I’m really living it,” she said of the transition from music to acting (watch the full Sundance interview below).

It’s while watching R. Kelly talk seriously about modeling the character of Randolph on the men in his life, while getting fake old man cheeks applied over his stubble in this making-of video, that it hit me: Trapped In The Closet’s multitude of ex-cons, down-low lovers, pimps, midgets, and secret twins are his Madeas.
“I felt like I wanted to do these characters, because I felt personal, I felt like I know these guys,” he says. “These guys were friends of mine, or uncles of mine, or my grandfather, and I wanted to steal the spirit of those people.”

Full Story »I wonder how much pure willpower it takes for Daniel Craig to look as constantly cool and bad-ass as he does in every second so far of Skyfall, a Bond pic whose plot I have very little knowledge of despite all the ads, other than Javier Bardem is a blonde-wigged weirdo villain, 007 bags more exotic ladies in exotic locales, and he jumps onto exploding trains while nonchalantly adjusting his cufflinks. That cufflink move gets a lot of mileage. Watch two new exciting-but-not-terribly-expository spots from Skyfall and tell me I’m wrong.
The first clip, “Precise Intelligence,” is all about how M (Judi Dench) always kinda-sorta but not really knows where her #1 agent is at all times because he’s probably on a yacht in the South China Sea macking on ladies on boats and in showers. I mean, obviously.
The second offers a little more: Femme fatale Sévérine (Bérénice Marlohe) leans in and SUPER SERIOUSLY asks Bond, “How much do you know about FEAAAAH?” What follows is the first semi-hilarious bit we’ve seen from Skyfall, just because Craig’s response is SO INTENSE. I mean, look at this face:
BOND KNOWS ABOUT ALL THE FEAR, BABY.
Then, BOOM! Cufflink move at the 0:17 mark. Come November we’re all going to live for that cufflink move, people.

The Academy Awards could finally get the dynamic host they’ve been looking for in Family Guy’s Seth MacFarlane, whom Deadline reports has been anointed emcee for the 2013 Oscars telecast. Given his solid SNL hosting debut (which began with an Oscars-appropriate song-and-dance monologue) the Ted creator is a well-rounded choice in a town that doesn’t actually have many writer-actor-producer-singer-funny voice-doers, let alone any willing to regularly push the boundaries of good taste. [UPDATE: Watch Seth MacFarlane as he makes his official Oscar announcement via video.]
But let us not forget, as Deadline reminds us: “Of course during the Emmys he didn’t find his mark and stood on the stage awkwardly when he was a presenter. But, that said, it’s an inspired choice by the Academy…”
The man loves to sing and loves to put teddy bears in compromising positions. He’s got my vote of approval. The question is, will the over-50 Oscar-watching crowd take to a little giggity-giggity in their Academy Awards?
